ASSESSMENT MAP
Seven silos have been identified as affecting student-centered learning, noted in the “Philosophy” section. Within each silo there are specific issues impacting the effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of your District’s Student-Centered Learning Roadmap. MPS has collected or generated a best practice associated with each issue which is used during our assessment and collaborative planning process. When a District does not have a best practice implemented to address a specific issue, that missing item will typically be an obstacle or hindrance in your transition to a student-centered culture of learning. The diagram identifies the key issues within each silo. It is very interesting that the issues considered an obstacle or hindrance change from one District to the next even when they are geographically adjacent to each other. The process yields a plan customized to your specific needs.
